9mm / 4.25" Commander Tactical / Anodized Black Frame

Carrying and shooting a full-size 1911 could once be considered cumbersome – that’s why we’ve introduced our new, lighter and more comfortable 5” Government Tactical Anodized Black 1911 Frame, chambered in 9mm. Weighing over 60% less than a full-size 1911 chambered in .45 ACP, this featherweight frame makes shooting more accurate and more simplistic. Thanks to its 9mm chamber, carrying capacity is increased for more shots down range when it counts most.

The included Picatinny rail makes adding a tac-light, laser, or other accessory a breeze. Built from mil-spec 7075 T6 aluminum the good ole’ USA, this 80% 1911 frame is not yet considered a firearm and thus requires no FFL transfer or paperwork to buy, ship, and own. If you can legally own a gun, you can build this 80% frame into one of the finest 1911s available. All you need to do is:

  • Cut the side rails
  • Cut the barrel seat
  • Drill the hammer pin hole
  • Drill the sear pin hole

Completing these simple machining steps takes less than two hours, even for first-time builders. Pair this frame with one of our 1911 jigs and build kits, and you’ll own one of the best version of America’s greatest handgun for pennies on the dollar. Sound too good to be true?
