9mm / 4.25" Commander / Anodized Black Frame

We’re excited to introduce what we think is one of the biggest improvements to America’s great handguns, the classic 1911. Our shortened 4.25” Commander Anodized Black Frame, chambered in 9mm, makes for one of the best concealed-carry 1911s available. Weighing more than 60% less than a full-sized steel 1911 in .45 ACP, this ultralight, shortened 1911 frame is perfect for all-day carry and its 9mm chamber affords owners with greater carrying capacity.

The best part? This 80% 1911 frame is not considered a firearm by any legal definition. It is 100% legal to buy, ship straight to your front door, and own in all 50 states. It is also completely legal to machine this frame into a functioning firearm as long as you can otherwise legally own a gun in your state. Proudly made in the USA from precision CNC machining, this 4.25” Commander frame is made from mil-spec 7075 T6 aluminum and comes finished in a mil-spec black anodized finish. All you to do to complete this frame is:

  • Cut the side rails
  • Cut the barrel seat
  • Drill the hammer pin hole
  • Drill the sear pin hole

Completing this 1911 frame requires little to no knowledge or machining experience, thanks to our easy-to-use 1911 jigs and kits. Machining takes less than two hours and is the only thing separating you from owning one of America’s finest handguns with the latest improvements.
