45 ACP / 5" Government / Bead Blasted Frame

If you’re ready to invest in one of the best upgrades to a legendary pistol – the classic 1911 – you should be taking a look at our 4.25” Commander Tactical Anodized Black 1911 Frame, chambered for 9mm. Proudly built in the USA with CNC precision, this new rendition of the original steel 1911 is made from mil-spec 7075 T6 aluminum and features a mil-spec black anodized finish. Its aluminum construction and 4.25” length offers up a pistol that’s 60% lighter in weight. Its 9mm chambering affords greater carrying capacity – perfect for competition or all-day concealed carry.

No FFL is required to buy, ship, or own this 80% 1911 frame. It is not considered a firearm by any legal definition until you perform some simple at-home gunsmithing and therefore requires no FFL or background check. You need little to no experience thanks to our 1911 jigs and pistol kits. All you need to do is:

  • Cut the side rails
  • Cut the barrel seat
  • Drill the hammer pin hole
  • Drill the sear pin hole

Completing these easy machining steps takes less than two hours, with the result being the proud ownership of one of the highest-quality and most improved 1911 designs available on the market, for pennies on the dollar.
