Our 5” Government Anodized Black 1911 Frame is one of the most affordable 80% 1911 frames available on the market – and it’s also one of the most well-built. Made from precisely CNC-machined 7075 T6 aluminum and featuring a black anodized finish, this 1911 frame’s made from the same stuff as a military-issue M4. Weighing 60% less than a conventional steel 1911 frame, our 5” Government Frame is more comfortable to carry and shoot. This 80% 1911 frame is not considered a firearm by any legal definition. Owning it is 100% legal in all 50 states, no paperwork required. You don’t even need to fill out any paperwork to machine the frame into a functional 1911 frame. Machining requires little to no experience thanks to our 1911 jigs and parts. Machining can be done in about 1 to 2 hours:
- Cut the side rails
- Cut the barrel seat
- Drill the hammer pin hole
- Drill the sear pin hole
Proudly made in the USA, this 80% 1911 frame costs pennies on the dollar and competes with some of the highest tiers of the legendary 1911 lineup.
